This Summer, we're running a "Summer Series" tournament. This is for people who want to play some proper full length rated games in the off season. A chance to get some practice in before next season so that we can start with a flyer!

Format
There will be holidays to plan around, so the format will be all play all groups of 5 or 6 (so 4 or 5 matches per player). There will be no schedule and I won't be chasing anyone at all. It will be up to the 2 players to arrange their matches for a convenient date and let me know the results. Matches will need to be played between 28th May and 3rd September. We will do some kind of 1 day finals group in September to decide an overall winner (probably using 30 minutes each games).

To try to make the games competitive, the groups will be assigned approximately in rating order. Ie the top 5 or 6 on rating will all be in group A. The next 5 or 6 will be in group B etc. I've tried to put people in groups based on form/rating/development needs. I've also deliberately kept family members in separate groups as they are likely to be away at the same times. I think all 4 groups should be reasonably competitive for everyone.

For ECF grading purposes, games should be played over the board and not online. The time limit is slightly less than for Cleveland league matches (1h30 for each player for all moves).
